do a CRB Check (Criminal Reference Beurea) not sure if spelling is correct

as Spaced has said, CRB is the only way to get a reliable one (lots of web agencyes will claim they have archives but to be honest, they don't).

However, to do this either the individual has to apply for it. Or you need to get their written consent. So if you were thinking of doing it on the sly, it's impossible - a breach of data protection.
