A friends budgie went through withdrawal symptoms with her when she gave up smoking, he was sooooo grumpy!

I'm convinced that animals really do suffer from passive smoking. My mother-in-law was an 80 a day smoker., even though her husband didn't smoke. Their cat was a highly strung spiteful little creature and so neurotic as to be unapproachable by anybody. Within six months of my mother's in law's death, she had become a completely different animal - gentle, and friendly to the extent that she would even let herself be stroked and cuddled.. We're convinced she was suffering from the second hand effects of niccotine and that once the effects of passive smoking had disappeared from her body, she had undergone a thorough detox.
