Mint Sauce
5 Answers
Had lamb chops tonight and sometimes when I cook them I sprinkle lemon juice on them and then some mint sauce from a jar. Usually Lidls.
I opened a jar of mint sauce, it had a paper circle on top. When I removed it, it was not mint sauce. It was a kind of chutney, tasted very nice by the way.
But I cannot understand what has happened.

I don't remember seeing the Lidls jar labelled mint sauce when I bought something.

Did I imagine it, did it die a death or was it another misinterpretation of an Eu directive? Can't help with your chutney conundrum though, I only re-use jars for lemon curd when the children are round.
