My nose doesn't work!

My sense of smell is for the most part non-existent. Occasionally it returns and then suddenly disappears for months at a time! Any ideas how I can restore it?

Are you a smoker? If so I think the cause is clear.

It's called Anosmia ... it may never return to normal...

Thank you the three of you for your replies. No I am not a smoker. Fancy the condition has a name that is something I didn't know! Thanks for the websites I shall have a read.
