hc4361 Teasmades make their own tea when the alarm goes off , the clue is in the name.Can anyone explain why you need an app that turns your house lights or heating on and off from your phone? Ever heard of thermostats and time switches?

Eddie, it's a lot easier to control lights by app than those fiddly timer switches - you don't even have to be at home to do it. I'm not too sure how easy it would be to connect your main lights to timers and plug in timers for lamps are cumbersome and ugly.

Btw - I would never use a teasmaid or an app to turn the kettle on because I detest hot drinks made with water that has been standing too long.
