Hello

My breakdown cover is due to expire in a couple of weeks and I just thought I would ask any of you who you use etc. I am happy with the RAC and have the Roadside, Recovery , At Home service which is one of the top ones they have. This costs me 148 a year. 4 monthly payments of 37.
Just wondered if you know of anyone cheaper who are as reliable as the RAC etc.
cheers

I have just taken out cover with MORE THAN for under 60. This is for breakdown, recovery AND European Cover. I think this is a terrific price. If you want the At Home part it comes to about 78. But you could add that and not have European Cover for about half what the RAC is charging.

Cheers. I think I will stick with them though as I havent had any problems with them and they have been great over the last year. I actually just rang to confirm that i was going to carry on with them. They said Ive got some sort of discount so it will be 130. This includes Home, Breakdown, Roadside and if I am in someone elses car I can call them. Does that apply to more than too?
I was also getting quotes for insurance and Diamond have come up with the cheapest price - what do you reckon on them?
Only the car you specify on your application is covered, so if you do use others the RAC might be better for you.
I renewed my car insurance with Churchill recently. They were more than 100 cheaper than my previous company who were.....RAC!
Can I ask whether you have motor insurance with RAC too? Reason being, I have RAC insurance fully comp & Joint personal & vehicle recovery (took them out together) but have just found out after an accident that my Insurance policy didn't cover me to drive other vehicles - what use is the recovery part - it covers me for recovery in another vehicle, but insurance part doesn't cover me to drive the vehicle. I appreciate it would cover me as a passenger, but as I am never a passenger this seems redundant. I am uninsured and liable to pay damage (2 cars written off) and have TWO personal injury claims by the other party.

Sorry to barge in with this comment, but IF you are contemplating insurance cover as well as Roadside, be aware that this is an exclusion.

Hi

I think I read your comment yesterday. That is terrible. No I am with Tesco at the moment, but will probably change to someone cheaper.
Thanks for the warning though.
