Thats what I was told last night Ratters, so I signed out, and in again, but still have a lot of gremlins going on, like, no names of groups I am in, no names of posters etc.
And couldnt find my fb app.
Any ideas would help, thanks,

in chrome at the right hand side of the screen there should be 3 vertical ...
click on that and select settings, then scroll to the bottom and select advanced, scroll down to clear browsing data and press the clear button, this will remove all the cookies and clean up the history, that will probably sort it.
if you have remembered passwords and you don't know what you are, then make sure you uncheck the box that says passwords or they will be cleared out as well.

why not install this clean up your pc laptop ? you wont loose anything of value just cookies, old temp files etc, it also has an unistaller app if you wanted to use it.

## Let's try and deal with the FaceBook problem - what is happening that you don't like? ##
Thanks HC4,
When I go onto FB, there are no group names that I am a member of at the top, or names of the members, of that group, its blank, but on Notifications on the right, have the names.
Its hard to explain when writing, but thats the basics.
Also I am getting confused with different answers, some saying its not a d/load, others saying its an app to cancel, which I cant find.
Am going a bit in a minute.

trt, android is an Operating System usually found on Android phones and tablets and uses apps that are downloaded.
Your Operating System is Windows 8 with Google as the browser. You have not downloaded an app, you have opened the FaceBook website. There is no app to uninstall.
I don't know why FaceBook is playing up in your browser and I can only reiterate mcfluff's suggestion that you try a different browser. There are many to choose from and you can use as many as you like - they don't conflict with each other.
I like Opera

Or you could just use Windows Internet Explorer or Edge, whichever you already have
