I haven't got my paper yet so glad it was right
Could the LIN in LINT be almost LINEN?
The only think I can think of is lint but not clear why.
Lint
Lint - ALmost is most of AL ie a line which gives Lin then “senT back” I.S the letter T
So is the pattern L?NT please danny?
The wordplay suggested by server sounds rather abstruse to me
The dash - could be line?

So lin (e) (sen) t
Sounds more likely toorak
I think the skeleton uses punctuation in quirky ways
