Why Cannot They Find Us?

Supposed to have had a delivery today by Amazon Logistics. Great, except that they cannot find us. Odd how every other delivery company manges to reach us. And as for reporting the problem to Amazon, impossible.

In the course of my job, I have to find various addresses. In an urban situation, my Sat Nav will find 95% without any problem at all. But Sat Navs can only work properly if they have a specific address. If not, the Sat Nav will just take me to the centre of the postcode.
So a house name, even if there is also a street name won't let the Sat Nav do its work, and any delivery driver will have to drive up and down the street, trying to find a house name.....not always so easy.
I hope this helps !

Amazon Drivers have delivery targets to hit.
Unfortunately that means it sometimes helps them to not deliver your package if it is a distance from the previous and next delivery they have to do. So they will say they tried to deliver it, but you were out, when it reality they have been no where near your house.

I don't use Amazon anymore, so I am not sure if you can include a Mobile number in the address instructions.
Gromit may have the answer here. All delivery drivers are chased pillar to post these days and are normally given workloads that may be impossible to achieve.
Whenever I order anything, like on ebay, I try to use Royal Mail.

I don't have prime but have ordered from Amazon countless times. I have 4 different addresses, can ask them to leave it at a neighbour's, loads of options and I have never had cause to complain. I think this is more likely a one-off. I would add that where I am nothing comes from Amazon drivers it's Royal Mail, Parcelforce, Yodel, DPS, Hermes etc etc
The annoying thing is that this is a rpeat order and they have managed to find us for the three previous deliveries of this item.
Yes we do have a proper address with a street name and number. The problem is that the Post code kicks in at a derelict farm half a mile away. So some drivers just turn round and go away. Others stop at properties on the road and ask where we are.
We have spent hours trying to find a way to give extra instructions to Amazon Logistics without success. On the Yodel site we can add instructions for their drivers.
Thank-you for the phone number. Will try it tomorrow.
