samsung cd-r/rw writer

3 Months back I purchased new Samsung CD-R/RW SW-252F R806 Cd writer, till few days back it was working fine.

Now a problem started, any CD I try to Burn can not be burn over 8x, I tried different media but of no use.

Also, after burning it shows CD burnt successfully but when try to view, no contents are there on the media. This is specially with MP3 and VCD files.

Data CD is burnt properly but not above 8x.

I tried most of the Softwares but of no use.

Sugegstions to get rid of the problem requested.

Sounds like an hardware problem.
Take the drive back to the supplier and ask them to check it out.
