Why Cannot They Find Us?
Supposed to have had a delivery today by Amazon Logistics. Great, except that they cannot find us. Odd how every other delivery company manges to reach us. And as for reporting the problem to Amazon,...

Thanks to a poster on here I managed to reach Customer services and left detailed instructions on how to find us. So today they failed to deliver once again.
The much maligned Yodel can find us. UPS delivered on Saturday. Only Amazon Logistics fail.

I have never understood why we aren't given the option to allow a delivery driver to have our contact phone number - so easy if they get lost.

My Tesco drivers sometimes have to call me.

If you finally manage to get a delivery (when you're there to accept it) it might be worth asking the driver which firm he actually works for. (Amazon Logistics don't employ drivers directly. Instead they get local firms to deliver for them). Then contact the boss of that firm to ask that he ensures that any future deliveries get to the right place. (You might still be unlucky though because it's possible that your area is covered by a network of one-man firms).

Perhaps you'll eventually get the same standard of delivery as Amazon customers in the USA do? ;-)

The last driver was a female with extremely limited English. Asking her anything was beyond belief.
We have an Email which clearly states that they will pass on to drivers details of how to find us, so why didn't they?

PS. I would not buy anything from them except that they are the only source of this. I want 5 copies of my self published book as Christmas presents for family.

We have an Amazon depot just across the road .. the vast majority of the drivers are self employed and I have yet to meet one who isn't Eastern European. The job they apply for is displayed on 'Indeed'. It really is slave labour if you get involved with their van lease scheme.. Dont be tempted !

Have yet to meet someone who works for them who loves their job. It's no wonder they dont turn up when expected.
An alternative that seems to work very well, is to select having your parcel delivered to an Amazon locker .. the drivers prefer this to searching for an address in the dark .. in an unfamiliar area.

Can't you have it delivered to one of their collection points. I often have my stuff delivered to a local Post Office - it doesn't cost any more, they're guaranteed to find it and I don't have to wait in for it.
