I don't know what you think Shaney, but I personally strongly feel arthritis can be a pitfall of thyroid disease and taking thyroxine over many years, osteoporosis is linked to thyroxine.
Barrel, sorry I missed replying to you. Yes you can have operations for osteoarthritis, not sure how readily available that is on the nubs, or how successful, not sure I'd like to have to consider that path.
Hi Eleena
I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid long after I was diagonised with arthritis.I don't think the the two are related .Under active thyroid runs in my family .My Mum and sister had it and two of my nieces have it .Neither of them had or have severe arthritis ,only me .
Tilly ,I've tried all sorts of supplements none of which help.
Tea is not going to help me to be able to stand in one place for longer than ten minutes or help me not have to sit on a perching chair to cook and prepare food.
If there was a cure for this painful debilitating thing people would be queuing round the block and I'd be first in the queue:)
I'll jostle you for first place, shaney - but not very much in case I jar my wrist - or back - or.........whatever. I've just had to organise 'assistance' for my trip to Thailand, because I simply cannot stand in a queue for long. 10 mins. in standing position is enough to set me up for a poss. 2 days on paracetamol. :(
Great, Minty. I'm not taking much, so should be able to smuggle you into my suitcase for free - you are OK for 10 hours or so? If not, I'll find an Air Hostess uniform to hire (you can change once we get on board). I'll let my friend, Sue, know she's to make-up another bed. Great to have you along!
Barsel, I assumed you were a 'he' until I just read your post on 6-monthly Denosumab, which is actually only licenced for treatment in women.... unless it's being given for bone metastases, in which case both men and women can have it.
