Went shopping in Morrisons. OH spotted their curry. It is advertised as the hottest curry on the market. It's called a volcanic curry.
Well he ate it tonight. What a performance. He coughed, sneezed, blew his nose and got redder and redder. Never. Seen him like it before. He really loves a hot curry but this was over the top. I tried a tiny bit on the end of my finger, barely tasted but wow was it hot. Really burned.
So if you want a hot curry you know where to go.
I like a hot curry so I’ll have to look out for it. I normally buy the Mayflower powdered extra hot. Make my own up with prawns and sliced onions. It’s eatable but too hot for the wife.
I ;learned to make curry in Malaya, by an Indian family I became friends with. Mama taught me to make a proper curry, I taught her how to do things like poached eggs, apple pie, custard from scratch. Happy days. :o}
But you're keeping your recipe to yourself WBM ;-)
I went to an Indian wedding once. Food served seemed quite different to that one finds in the usual Indian restaurant, and was very nice. (Wouldn't have called it curry though.)
