Security Camera - With Joystick

My partner wants a security camera. Trouble is, she's seen the TV programmes where the CCTV operative uses a joystick to point the camera in the direction wanted, plus zoom in/out on the 'suspect'.

I 'suspect' that these are horrendously expensive! Are any such things made for the domestic market?
