registry backup

I have just downloaded Registrar Registry Manager 4.04 how do I make a backup of my registry items do I have to highlight them first before clicking "Backup and restore" button.? I am a newbie at this any help appreciated

Why are you wanting to back it up? Windows will back it up for you automatically.

I have to delete one of the files . my homepage as been highjacked

to backup ur registry go to start/run and type in regedit--this runs the registry edit--go to file menu and choose export--u get a window--choose a name for ur backup--i usually just call it regbak(the current date--eg 8jul06)--it will automatically give it the extension .reg--then choose where to save it in "save in" section of the window--make sure u remember where so u can restore it later if u need to--good luck

as an afterthought bill u can download free start page guard from here

this locks ur start page once u have set it and cannot be hijacked
