We have a couple of chaps at our quiz who have incredibly weak bladders on Thursday nights.....and even more strange......having a wee seems to trigger the glow on the phones in their shirt pockets......... :-)

"I wanna tell you a story" as Max B used to say.....
I was a Wimbledon fan, and in the Crazy gang in the 80's, and went to the Cup Final of '88 when they played Liverpool...couldn't believe we got there....had a nice trip up to Wembley, with 5 mates, baking hot day in the high 80's, met ex Chelsea player legend, John Hollins on the train up,as he was doing Radio commentary for the match, and walked up to the Stadium with him, he even tried to get us in to a function with him and vouched for us with doormen, he was suited with tie etc...we were in T-shirts/ Wimbeldon tops, scarves, hats and shorts, as so warm that day.....it was only our dresscode that let us down....not allowed in, but Hollins stayed outside still talking to us for another 10 Mins before going in. Nice guy. I
Anyhow, as you probably know, we won the game thanks to Lawrie Sanchez....expected maybe some trouble after game, but no.... and all the Liverpool fans we talked too, we're gracious in defeat and congratulations were coming left, right and centre....when we got to the pub, The Globe, near Baker Street, to start our pub crawl celebrations, some brilliant Scousers came up to us to ask if they could join us for the night, as they didn't know London well and maybe we can show them good places to have a drink....so we teamed up with around 10-12 Liverpool fans, had a great time pub crawling, finishing with a curry...then back to Wimbledon town late at night for more celebrating.....it was like a massive street party....hundreds upon hundreds of people cheering etc....what a night what a day......
Liverpool folk are great and always remember that day ☺
