Bliss Tonight...

Getting home early to a welcome glass of red from a John Cooper Clarke evening......I left part way through his performance....

I have only ever walked out on a performance twice before and then only at the interval.....tonight was so dire I disturbed half a row of people to leave......why Dave didn't book aisle seats I don't know....what with his long legs....

I know of JCC but had never seen him perform........he waffled....stumbled....forgot his words.....couldn't read his notes....and spoke so quickly I couldn't understand a word.....lord was I bored....

Noting when the audience roared with laughter when he took a breath and a drink after he'd said nothing in particular I decided it was a case of The Emperor's New Clothes......and told my companion.....a huge JCC fan that I had go......I'd wait in the foyer.....he came with me.....

If you have tickets.....offload them!....Gx
