My brothers wife is Cuban. When they married 45+ years ago, the worst prejudice seemed to come from the Italian side of our family. One aunt...who considered my brother her favourite...never spoke to him again. Others did not attend their wedding. Now, their two mixed race sons are married to an Italian and a Jewish girl. No problems for either. It made for a very jolly and diverse occaision when I attended the wedding of my elder nephew a few weeks ago.
