Can Anybody Help Me With This Add-On

Its for making my fonts go from grey, (my eye problems) to black, as there is no logo in the toolbar, which has been mentioned in the reviews, but all say its good with bad eyesight, but I dont know how to start it, once I am on a site. Thanks.

Apparently you have to go through menu - add ons
Click 'enable' next to this add on.

The reviews don't seem very good and it hasn't been updated for 7 months, so don't expect too much

What problems do you have with your sight? There are lot of options available.
In the meantime I'll install that add on and see if I can figure it out

Due to cataracts, my sight has become foggy/misty and waiting for an appointment.

I've installed it and found it in my menu - add ons - extensions.
It is enabled by default but I can't see that is makes any difference.

I have the same page open side by side in Firefox with the extension enabled and Opera in its normal state and they look identical in respect of text

will have to look for add-ons again, that makes fonts bigger & darker.

Have you tried adjusting the font and size in settings? Bigger and darker may be a big help

You can also try enabling the high contrast option in the Windows Accessibility feature.

Tried everything over the past few months in settings etc, and the above HC, its definitely my eyes.

Even though you're aware of some eye problems, it might still be worth checking that your monitor is actually set up correctly.

If it is, you should be able to see all of the numbers, from 0 to 10, on both of the relevant lines here:

If you can't see them, then you need to get that sorted out before looking for any browser extensions, etc.

Rtaxron...Unfortunately, the link which you have given comes up for me with the message..."We're sorry, but we can't find what you're looking for".

Incidentally, are you waiting for a Cataract Operation or an appointment with a Specialist to decide if you are suitable for surgery which my wife has had on both eyes. It's incredible how straightforward is the actual operation and within a few days vision is improved considerably

Chris, Can only see about half of the numbers, but when I followed the instruction, which said you would be able to see the black & numbers, as you were making changes, I cant & have to go back

Will check with a friend of mine tomorrow, he might be able to do it for me, Thanks Chris, will let you know.

^^^ Thanks for the feedback.

It's really, really important that you get your monitor set up so that all of those numbers are visible. If they're not, black text has a nasty habit of looking grey, even to someone with perfect eyesight. So you'll be wasting your time trying to install any extensions until you've got that sorted out.

Get your friend to sort it out for you and then buy him the pint you'll undoubtedly owe him!
