Wouldn’t it be a great idea if the government gave the elderly extra money as part of the “heating allowance to buy sleeping bags, scarves, thermals and ski suits in case of boiler failure.

Yes they do Ladybirder, but they have to be on benefit to get the Cold Weather Payment which is based on temperature.

Danny I know that. I've never said any different. We seem to be at cross purposes. All I was trying to do was to point out to FF that others besides pensioners get financial help in cold weather, that's all. Phew, are we agreed?
