Place your bets! Are we going to be having a white Christmas this year? (I live in hope every year!)

I would like to live in a parallel universe where people who like snow could have it, and others wouldn't.
I`ve only ever known snow on Christmas Day once in my life so no, I don't think we'll get it. I`d love to see it but I have a 200 mile drive back to work after Boxing Day and don't fancy encountering treacherous roads.
According to the Guardian, snow has fallen in Scotland on Xmas day 37 times since 1960; 16 in N Ireland and 16 in Wales. While England is split norf and sarf; the good old North of the country has had 26 white Christmasses compared to the South's 10. Food for thought.
I hope we don't have snow, nice to look at but not so nice to be out in it.

It looks like it's just me then...
Apparently the 'real' winter with snow and so on is due to start in January, so I doubt we'll have a white Christmas.
Probable yes for Cairngorm, probable "possibly" for Geneva, probable no for London
