Breast Cancer In Men

Hi, my husband is being fast tracked to the Breast Clinic having found a lump a few weeks ago. He's had a course of Antibiotics prescribed by the practice nurse, while waiting for GP appointment. In case it was a cyst. Nothing changed by taking those.

18 months ago he was diagnosed with a low grade Bladder Cancer. He had a Biopsy and Diathermy [I think its called] with several clear Cystoscopies since.

I don't want to think about the C word again but wondered of anyone experience of these problems together in an older man. [He's 85]

I see about 1 case of male breast cancer per year, working in Oncology. The most recent case was a 34 year old man with locally advanced, strongly oestrogen receptor positive cancer.

Yes men do get breast cancer but its extremely rare.

I agree with NoMercy, to have to have a breast cancer is uncommon in men, but to have two cancers, bladder and breast is extremely rare.
But never say never.
He will almost certainly need a biopsy, needle or open biopsy to be absolutely certain of the diagnosis.
