Bank Card Declined Online

I’ve gone to order something earlier and it declined my card - kept saying error. So I used joint account card. I’ve now gone to pay a bill and it’s again declined my card. There’s definitely money in the account as I’ve checked. Any ideas? It’s too late to call them. Never happened before.

It has become well known that Santander is regularly having Internet problems.

It is evidenced by clicking 'View Past Issues' in the link which I have given above to see the numerous occasions involved.
