Despite Flynn finally admitting his guilt, Trumps still doesn't believe he did anything wrong !

"Mr Flynn has entered a plea deal and agreed to co-operate with an inquiry into alleged collusion with Russia."

//Outside interference in the US Election by ANY foreign state, friend or foe, is not acceptable. For a foreign state to collude (or act with the knowledge of US politicians) is very serious.// As written.....now....

Change that to..."Outside interference in the UK Election by ANY foreign state, friend or foe, is not acceptable. For a foreign state to collude (or act with the knowledge of UK politicians) is very serious."

Gromit applauds that though especially EU interference. Meehh.
The charge isn’t ‘spying’ it is attempting to influence. There is no doubt that that at least happened. The Russians are free to influence how they see fit. And it is up to us to make sure we are aware of what is going on and the nature of the threat. And meanwhile the investigation into collusion by US elements - which would count possibly as treason - continues.
// This is all tiresome and boring.//

er - Flynn has pleaded guilty to a criminal charge - and so everything Flynn did CAN'T be lawful even tho Trump says it is.... duh
well done Mikey for spotting that one
[oh well it was lawful except when it wasnt ....]

American Lawyers have spotted that as well - Big Mouth ( the president of the United States that is!) has tweeted that he had to fire Flynn cos he lied to the FBI... BUT
Big Mouth ( the president that is!) is under a duty to tell the feds if he thinks the law ( fed law that is! ) is being broken

oooooooops ! This is all tiresome and boring, NART !

AND if he thought ( the president that is!) the law had been broken he should not have told the big fella at the FBI to lay off .....

This is all tiresome and boring.
or prezzie in big doggie dooo
we will have to wait and see ....

[the president has been lying to the FBI - that is not above the wit of the average ABer is it ?]

Americans when they do it do it big
Damian Green was just looking at topless photos of TitC Lamour wasnt he ?
He was being "Hans Solo", pepe, phew. (^_*)
I'm amazed that lying to the FBI is a criminal offence, it isn't a criminal offence to lie to the police, in the cops and villains films I watch, lying to the fuzz is par for the course, it isn't as if you are under oath as in a court of law, then that's perjury.
This may be the relevant legislation,

"U.S. Code › Title 18 › Part I › Chapter 47 › § 1001

(a) Except as otherwise provided in this section, whoever, in any matter within the jurisdiction of the executive, legislative, or judicial branch of the Government of the United States, knowingly and willfully—
(1) falsifies, conceals, or covers up by any trick, scheme, or device a material fact;
(2) makes any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation; or
(3) makes or uses any false writing or document knowing the same to contain any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or entry;
shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 5 years or, if the offense involves international or domestic terrorism (as defined in section 2331), imprisoned not more than 8 years, or both. If the matter relates to an offense under chapter 109A, 109B, 110, or 117, or section 1591, then the term of imprisonment imposed under this section shall be not more than 8 years.
(b) Subsection (a) does not apply to a party to a judicial proceeding, or that party’s counsel, for statements, representations, writings or documents submitted by such party or counsel to a judge or magistrate in that proceeding.
(c) With respect to any matter within the jurisdiction of the legislative branch, subsection (a) shall apply only to—
(1) administrative matters, including a claim for payment, a matter related to the procurement of property or services, personnel or employment practices, or support services, or a document required by law, rule, or regulation to be submitted to the Congress or any office or officer within the legislative branch; or
(2) any investigation or review, conducted pursuant to the authority of any committee, subcommittee, commission or office of the Congress, consistent with applicable rules of the House or Senate."

Trump is now criticising the FBI !

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-42215767

Can we really believe, that a President of the United States is really lashing out at the FBI !

This man gets even more bizarre as each day rolls on.
Either mentally ill or desperately trying to get the American people on his side aganst the Federal law enforcers.

The sooner the men in grey suits - or possibly white coats - come for him the better. America is being humilated on a daily basis by him: no wonder Putin is a fan ...
I bet you could believe it when Clinton criticised the FBI

!
I think Clinton was cross with Jim Comey for his timing. I don't recall any paranoid ranting. And of course the Trumpster in those days was extolling the virtues of the FBI and saying how marvellous they all were. Pass the tablets ...
// I bet you could believe it when Clinton criticised the FBI //

as president ? I dont remember that at all ! When ?

well never actually - post - as a private citizen having demitted office. Shame on you !

//I'm amazed that lying to the FBI is a criminal offence, it isn't a criminal offence to lie to the police,//
whole raft of fed law in the Land of the Free, we dont have.

and as for //it isn't a criminal offence to lie to the police, //
jesus Kh I dont want to be around whilst you lie to the police.....God what are you thinking of?

Hulloooo everyone who is reading this - - yes yes it IS a criminal offence to lie to the police .....

Crezzy Man alert! - yeah and I dont mind if s/o quips:
"yeah - it PP it is! he say you must tell the troof to the rozzers"

as s/o said ( me probably ) you should nt believe everything you read on AB !"
Thats because nobody has mentioned she did it as president PP.

Not sure why you think anyone did

// Gromit applauds that though especially EU interference. Meehh. //

I am unaware of any EU interference in the EU referendum. If there were, it clearly didn’t work.

I am aware however of dark money (from where, who knows? ) being channelled to the DUP to place an advert in the Metro Nespaper (that isn’t even distributed in NI) on the day of the referendum. And of £3/4million going to a fashion student to target the yoth vote ( which never appeared in his accounts). There certainly was outside influence in the EU referendum, but the finger is pointing at Ex-Dom Conservative donors.
//I am unaware //
Nope .... just selective recall. Double Meehh.
Well I have just read Tim Shipman's book on the referendum campaign: if it happened during the campaign it's in the book, and there is nothing about any sort of interference so I think it is safe to say :-)
This is the sort of pointless whataboutery that is the enemy of fact
Sooo you were here then ichy? Or is that another EU centric press release? Shipmans? Didn't they manufacture that fishy paste stuff? Designed for the poooor downtrodden, wherking classy, bottom feeders.
PP //and as for //it isn't a criminal offence to lie to the police, //
jesus Kh I dont want to be around whilst you lie to the police.....God what are you thinking of?//

What I'm thinking of is that I've never heard of anyone being convicted of 'Lying to the police' per se, it depends entirely on the context. If the police ask me if I know someone (and I do) and I say I don't, what then?
"Sooo you were here then ichy? Or is that another EU centric press release? Shipmans? Didn't they manufacture that fishy paste stuff? Designed for the poooor downtrodden, wherking classy, bottom feeders. "

This is the bit where I play khandro's card and say "well I have read the book, so there" :-)
I recommend it - it's very good: full of ... facts.
