I had an email this morning to say the parcel I was expecting had been delivered and handed to the resident at my address at 10.45....
It hadn't so I checked my security camera and saw a delivery man going to next door's house but they were away for the weekend so I'd no idea where my parcel was....until.....

Next door brought me my wet and battered parcel......they'd had a note to say the parcels...she was expecting one too....had been left in the rear porch.....they have no rear porch....

Both parcels had been thrown over a locked, high wooden gate and lain all day on the wet path.....

Not knowing what was on the other side of the gate or what was in the parcels.....my goods were breakable......how can a delivery man just fire parcels over gates?

I must be lucky...all my courier people are lovely....cheerful, helpful and careful with my orders.
Keep an eye on the sky Woofgang, there's a heavy shower coming your way. :-P

This is the first problem I've had, Woof.....mine have been chatty and cheery but this chap didn't even make it to my house......but had he been delivering next door throwing a parcel over their high gate is odd....

We do have strange numbering too though.......I had a chap arrive last week with five pizzas.....would have been tempted to accept if they'd been paid for and if I liked pizza.... :-)

We buy a lot from john Lewis using their Cliick and collect service, never had a problem, I guess you get what you pay for.
You don't get delivery with click & collect do you?

You collect it from somewhere.
Over the years I've been mostly lucky, just the occasional blip , this week may prove me wrong - I do hope not.
Click and collect ?
Yes - most outlets do it now, my Daughter uses it a lot as she drives, I don't so am i when deliveries arrive.

Oh this thread's doing nothing for my mind's images..... :-)

You recall Les Dawson and his mate as Cissie and Ada....arms folded under ample bosoms and being sniffy and pursed lips?
That's my image of Baldric and Douglas.....prissily spouting....Well you get what you pay for......
Honestly guys.......growing up wouldn't hurt..... :-)
I know what click and collect is M . :-)

Threw me, gotcha.
Will I put the kettle on ? :-)

No...it won't suit you one bit, Anne....isn't click and collect like going to the shop and buying?.....
I've clicked........and I've collected.....;-)

But never click and collected....x
I click, but don't collect, I get a cheeky chap to deliver. So far all OK, but the crazy season is upon us :-)
