A neighbour once told me that new potatoes are hard to digest & once cooked & cooled shouldn't be kept for long as they become toxic! Any truth in this - I hope not, I love cold new potatoes.

i don't know about the cold potato thing but they are related to deadly knightshade which is toxic! I have read green potatoes are bad though.

No truth at all. the green thing is true, but if they start off brown they are fine
