Orthopaedic And Osteopath
25 Answers
Without going into a lengthy story - I asked my doctor via receptionist today - could I get a letter of referral to an osteopath.
I pay and have been paying from I was 16 into a wee scheme thing that if the NHS can't do the thing "they" will pay for an osteopath for 6 times.
I couldn't hear the voice mail so got neighbour over who said that receptionist has said my doctor will refer me to a private orthopaedic cos she was concerned about my hands.
I will go down to doctor's tomorrow morning and get correct version.
Anyway what is the difference between orthopaedic and osteopath. Thanks

I have been to several osteopaths in the last couple of months - actually one last Friday or maybe the Friday before - forgive me if I have mentioned this but the young lad and myself were related - my dad was his great uncle. Did think he looked like one of my bros.
Anyway of the heap osteos and orthos - I have received great relief from one young girl (osteo) - excellent. I think I'll be seeing her again.
Mamy - I dont think I'll be seeing the doctor - just probably receptionist repeating the same information on the phone. You have to wait 4 weeks for a doctor's appointment.

Update for any who is interested. Called to doctors - the receptionist who left the message was off - so another receptionist sorta gave me scant information from what she could read.
But, doctor has referred me to a private orthopaedic (sp) so will have to wait I guess but am thinking if it is private it could be quick. That's all folks.
