Really like this, and think it's beautifully written, believable and well directed ; but I think Christopher Eccleston is badly miscast, and his over-acting sticks out like a sore thumb, spoiling an otherwise excellent drama.
I'm not a fan of his, but I think he is brilliant in this. He brings in lot of humour and there are a lot of men around just like him in real life. In my opinion he's the best character in it.
I like Christopher Eccleston, have done since I saw him in Hearts and Minds when he played a young teacher in a tough Liverpool school.
I don't think he's overacting. I think he is showing exactly what it's like to be an honest, caring, bumbling, trying to get it right but failing, bloke. I think his portrayal is excellent.
