Hey - I[ve just got MSN and I don't know what all the symbols mean next to people's names. I assume the red man signifies that they're offline and the green man signifies they're online but what about the green man with the clock? Thanks

That means the person is marked as away from their computer. If you look closely it should say, in a bit fainter text in brackets, away.

If you click on your name (it should say online next to it in brackets too) on MSN, a drop down list will appear with all the settings you can set yourself as. The symbols are there too so you work out what each one means :o)
If you click the down arrow on your MSN where it says "YourName (online)" - online being your current status - it has a symbol and a description.

The green man with the clock means they're away/busy.
Sorry it can mean, AWAY, BE RIGHT BACK or OUT TO LUNCH.
opps cross posted there mattfox, you explained it so much better than me too :o)
Just means I spend far too much time on Messenger :D LOL!!
