It snowed in Peterborough for about 10 mins last night. I'm back home now and its gorgeous. Sunny and bright but quite cold. Feels a bit strange to have the fire lit and the sun streaming through the windows. On Tuesday I had to drive to Ipswich and across the fens there was still quite a bit of snow lying and it was perishing cold (car said it was -4.5). Now I've got my...

i hope not in all honesty, as its a blight to get back and forward when it turns to ice..
Got snow last night which froze, causing fun and games on my road this morning... I live on a 1 in 8 hill.
Sunny here in South Manchester but haven't been out yet, so it probably isn't as warm as it looks.

we haven't had any snow in Hampshire ,grown ups pleased kids not so x
Very hard frost overnight and then the snow started early morning so it's lying. Need to drive later so fingers crossed roads are gritted.

Cloudy all morning here, now some sunshine - forecast over next few days is a slight increase in temp.

had to put my gloves on and almost got the ear muffs out, its that cold..

Very common in the NE. 'It's perishing out there' or 'I'm perished'.
And in West Yorkshire
Used to call kids “ little perishers “ round our way if they were being naughty?
