Belfast certainly doesn't need these people spreading their vile message - on the Peace Wall of all places. I have seen this tactic used so often before: use outspoken language, almost daring people to react - then when the reaction DOES come bleating about "free speech". The fact that there worse people in the world is no defence
It would be interesting to know what was actually said, as tora mentioned about 200 posts ago.
I have never said, by the way, that they deserve to go to jail, because I have not heard their exact words, and that is for a court to decide anyway. I know enough about BF tho to see what they are about.
Interestingly, BF also seem a little coy about what was said.
They are expecting people to sign their petition without as far as I can see letting people read the speech for themselves and judge
/// The 31-year-old faces two counts of behaviour intending or likely to stir up hatred or fear by using words which were "threatening, abusive or insulting". ///
Taking into consideration those "threatening, abusive or insults" levelled against Trump, The Tory Party, Nigel Farage, and fellow ABers who disagree with them, there are some on the Left of AB, who should now be waiting for an early knock on the door.
In reply to the point raised earlier that Trump had never heard of BF. Well of course he hadn’t. (I believe he retweeted in any case via an intermediary)
BF were of course quick to point that out. Weren’t they :-)
I’ve been watching the video Fransen made at the Peace Wall in Belfast on Wednesday and it’s not an attempt to stir division and violence then I don’t know what is.
Honestly, the best policy would be to ban her from N Ireland. Find a wall somewhere else Ms Fransen. Maybe Donald could build you one :-)
