I am having a nightmare with selling my Mother's flat. It is a leasehold Sheltered accommodation. The original Management company merged with two others and the new. company called Stonewater. They are a nightmare and have broken all the rules in the book. Their bad management has caused the flats to have got a bad reputation and many have been on the market for over a year. The once lovely gardens are terrible and they dug up the Latin and left it n a dangerous condition not to mention Health and Safety issues. They recently increased the management fees by a large amount without following the legal rules like providing audited accounts! I have lodged complaints which have been ignored and now I am now threatening to sue and want the proper wording like "Loss of pecuniary advantage".

There is a financial trouble-shooter who writes for the Times on Saturday ( there are probably similar financial columns in other newspapers) She answers many sorts of financial questions. Then there's the Citizens Advice Bureau, who seems to have all kinds of financial information at their fingertips.

Thanks. I know there's someone who writes in the Mail on Sunday as well. I sent him an email but no reply.
