Is it possible to play DVDs with a TV that does not have a SCART connector?

Connect your DVD to your VCR via SCART turn your VCR on to channel AV1 (or if your VCR has two SCART sockets you might have AV2 as an option) switch your TV on to your video channel and touch wood you should be able to watch it that way. If not like Catso said you can buy a lead with SCART at one end & 3 phono's at the other end (Red,White & Yellow) your TV might have 3 colour coded phono jacks in them plug your SCART into your DVD & the 3 phonos into your TV even if your TV has only got a Yellow & Red or Yellow & White just plug in the corresponding colours it just means your sound will be mono not stereo.
