Linda Bellingham would have made a good me I think!
Probably Meryl Streep. She's good at extremes and trying to marry one to the other and understanding deeply conflicting and difficult situations.
Sunny-dave.... 1971 Stratford, Judi Dench, Merchant of Venice. We were probably in the same audience! She and Michael Williams were getting tog,. in the Dirty Duck behind the theatre at the time. Her 'Quality of mercy' speech was enthralling. We must have been in the same audience - midweek.

I'm pretty sure I was at a Saturday Matinee - although 46 years may have dulled my memory of which day - but not of how wonderful her performance was.
She stalked onto centre stage and just took command. I can still see it.
Finding someone handsome enough is a real problem, so I'll go with cool instead, Michael Kitchen. Not quite tall enough, but definitely uber cool.
Elaine Paige. Have just seen her in panto and she was wonderful, completely camped it up and took the mick out of herself brilliantly. She could do the job.
Nicol Williamson, though sadly he is no longer with us, I have often been mistaken for him.
Penelope Cruz for me.
Curly Howard from the Three Stooges.

Even though I have a lot more hair.
∆∆ Ha ha!!
