Lansoprazole Interfering With Iron Levels
7 Answers
My iron and B12 have been on the low side last few months. I've been advised by my doctor to buy Floradix iron supplement from chemist, which I've been taking on and off. After more blood tests still low. I've been reading recently how lansoprazole can interfere with iron levels, something to do with not having enough acid in stomach. Has anyone had same experience or an answer to this? Sqad?

Make that what you will!
My interpretation in taking both tablets together is that it is "no big deal" and I would carry on regardless.
HOWEVER.......I do have a concern about your post......and that is why is your B12 low? That is of greater importance than the original question and certainly needs answering by further blood tests.

Should have said B12 borderline. I don't feel right at all. I feel my strength is leaving me, not much of an appetite and breathless at times. I'm going back to see doctor Jan 2nd and will tell doctor of what I've read. I wish I could come off the darn things!
NoM. I am not a vegetarian. I've always had a well balanced diet
