Then, of course, we have the example of the Bosnians and Montenegrans who perversely chose to surrender the advantages of a united Yugoslavia to forge their own uncertain way in the world.

Yugoslavia, you see, was a "big unit", whereas Montenegro couldn't make up two football teams.

Yugoslavia, now I come to think of it, not nearly as big as its predecessor the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
