What is the name of the film?

I'm trying to remember the name of a horror film, with a town in it called RedRum....made in the Usa....it is basically about an evil woman who turned children into plants and used her goblins to kill people in the town.If anyone can help please reply! Thanks.

any chance you might be getting part of The Shining and another film mixed up? Redrum was the phrase that little danny torrance repeated over in the film and book (obviously it stands for Murder written backwards) but the other part doesn't ring any bells...Sorry.

To be honest guys, iv never heard of this freaky film either, it's my friend who has a dilemma over it, she swears she's seen it but cannot remember much about it, everyone else i know has never heard of it! I told her she may have dreamt it but she swears she didn't! Sorry for the dumb question guys! Daniela xxxxx

I agree sft42 - redrum definitely makes ME think it was The Shining - as for turning people into plants I can recall that happening in Doctor Who ("Mark of the Rani"), but that's obviously not American. Any idea how old we're talking?

She says it is around the 80's, maybe early 90's. I thought she was talking about The Shining aswell because of the RedRum thing, but she swears it is a film! I'm determined to get to the bottom of it, so when i find out anything I will sure let u guys know! Daniela x

The redrum part was definitely the shining...could the plants be from day of the triffids, which was turned into a TV drama in the 80's? - terrified me!! Other than that, can't help you i'm afraid. Are you sure she didn't dream this bizarre concoction of films after watching them one after the other?!

Yeah thats what i said to her! You've probably dreamed it but she saw it when she was about 9, so 7 years later she might not remember a whole lot! When she asked me about it, it did sound really stupid and i did tell her about the shining 'redrum' thing but she still insists that the town in this weird film is called 'Redrum' sorry guys for asking such a strange question!!
