Funding for a business

I'm starting my own magazine and require funding or an investor. Any suggestions on who or what company to approach?

Just walk into the nearest bank and tell them you need some money.

It's not easy to get start up finance unless you have security.If the magazine has advertising you could look to factor your invoices and get 85% on publication. They won't advance any money until the mag is printed though. The Small Firms Loan Guarantee Scheme may be available if you have no security for a loan.
