Julie when i suggested finitism I hadn't checked to see if it was recognised by Chambers. I couldn't find it listed and therefore went with Nihilism. K
The view that only those entities may be admitted to mathmatics that can be constructedin a finite number of steps, and only those propositions entertained whose truth can be proved in a finite number of steps!?Have you dismissed my finicism finicky?
My head is also spinning. I think the key lies in the word 'nothing' in the clue. A Nihilist believes in Nothing! Therefore if the clue is punctuated ...Nothing,will satisfy its adherents..then the answer fits the clue. I'm off to do nothing! K
