Can't see it meself, although they do have some emotional performances every now and again. I would have just called it Indie Rock, but then I'm old.
Others who I personally would not recognise are Rites of Spring, One Last Wish and Beefeater.

The kid next door had her lovely locks hacked into what as an old fart I would refer to as a demi - mullet., but it was a crime perpetrated at a well known establishment so she thinks she is the Queen of Sheeba. We also have a pierced back , four in a row that we lace with ribbons to look like a corset ... I feel sooooooo old!
emo is short for emotional, its kinda like goth. emo people listen to sad music, and are social outcasts. they write peoms and have no self confidence. most emos dye their hair black and where lack eyeliner (boys and girls) and the gutys are often gay or bi because thay are so sensitive. emo people are sad most of the time and dont have evry good conversations with people. emos can be difined by the music they listen to. im not saying all emos are like that, thats just the general view.
That is not a general view of Emo's at all sugarcult, "low confidence" it takes a lot of confidence to wear some of the clothes that emo's wear. They are also certainly not "social outcasts" and have many friends who are always having fun, Ever watched them when you've been in town?
Conversations with Emo's are not "very good"? Define a good conversation.
Finally, Emo music is all most certainly not sad and is very rocky and upbeat.
Sugarcult...you come across as a chav i'm afraid. Your post was very offensive.

I tell you what :Ace: ~ my daughter has her emo mates round here & it's marvellous :o) we have fantastic conversations..they are intelligent, friendly, polite, individual (no, they do NOT all look the same!) and to be honest would much rather have 10 of them in my house than the chavs up the street.
None of the emos I have spoken to are sad. They are, in the main, a very upbeat bunch considering they are supposed to be 'moody teens'. The chavs on the other hand.... ;o)

There's hundreds of jokes doing the rounds about emo's, along the lines of 'Did you hear the one about the emo pizza? It cut itself'. They're often depicted as depressed, suicidal kids who listen to music that makes them more depressed and suicidal. However, for most, it's just a popular look of the moment and they're just following the trend. I'm sure in twelve month's time a lot will have moved onto the next big trend, whatever that may be.
