If you have access to the BBC iPlayer, can I recommend watching BBC ALBA for the next couple of hours - if it's as good as the last couple of NYEs then it will be a treat.

A bit old fashioned (and what's wrong with that?) but loads of excellent music and a distinct absence of London based nonsense.

Slainte and Happy New Year to you all

Yes it seems so long ago now Tony. Thanks S-D for pointing out the BBC Alba show. Makes a change from Jools Holland and whatever disco version BBC1 had on tonight. I don't understand Gaelic unfortunately but the music's great and somehow seems to dovetail nicely with the 12 year old Balvenie I'm currently imbibing.

Well thank you, Dave for pointing me to that.....a great night of entertainment.....much enjoyed......x
Yes, excellent. A small venue with no big production values, Just great singing and playing enjoyed by performers and audience alike.
