I cant remember whose who at the moment, as it was quite a while since I watched the first series, and I missed the first 5+ minutes tonight.

Who was the bloke in hospital, with a neck brace, and how the accident?

Was the narrator, who was dead, the chef/owner, of the hotel, and who was he married too?

I assume the Irish bloke used to be the B/F of Dawn French, and the girl their daughter?
