Christmas Blues

After all the excitement, delicious food, friends and family, Christmas for me is a really wonderful and magical time of year. Now that it's over, I thin I have a case of the Christmas blues, if such a thing exists!

Can anyone else relate?

Anthronerd our whole year is feeling blues, Xmas, then New Years then Valentine’s Day then winter, Easter, bank holidays, festivals summer, birthdays, holidays, end of summer, fireworks, Halloween and start again.

All we have to do is make it from one set of blues to the next a we’re golden. :)

All the kids go back to school tomorrow (eldest went back to college today) which always makes me sad - but it's only three days until the weekend and I can mess around with Lego whilst they're not here.

I always used to be quite blue after Christmas. Now that I'm the one hosting it's a relief when everyone's gone home and I don't have to worry about whatever I was getting stressed about before.

I tend to have pre-christmas blues rather than post. I find it rather an anxious time of year and am always on a bit of a high after its all over. Sweep it all away and look foward to the longer days now, the wonders of spring and if that doesnt cheer you up, book a holiday!

Christmas itself is never very special for me. (The bit I enjoy most is probably a few weeks before the big day, when I'm spending money I can't really afford on buying prezzies for some people who're very special to me). So there's no great feeling of anticlimax afterwards.
