What's the differences between them and could you use either one to "power through" days when you're hungover?

Why would you want to use a powerful drug intended for narcoleptics to 'power through' a self inflicted hangover? Wouldn't it be easier to not get drunk in the first place?
Irn Bru and a fry up are far better (and safer) cures.

Look i'm after advice and not here to be judged.
Sorry, didn't intend to infer any judgement.
They are prescription drugs though aren't they? If you intend getting them some other way please be careful for your own sake.

That was to daffy and not said in a rude way daffy either.

2sp irnbri is too sweet and thoughts of a fryup would make me heave

Are they daffy? I heard of uni and college students eating them like sweets and assumed they were legal and easy to get hold of. If they're illegal and dangerous then i think i'd take your advice and not drink so much in the 1st place :)
I know that hospitals use thiamine, folic acid and magnesium sulfate for people with hangovers and alcohol poisoning, they call it a 'banana bag' as it is fluid and given as a drip.
Try OTC painkillers and a pint of water before bed.

Sadly if you drink too much, you will suffer the hangover the next day. Unless you are under 25 that is!

I would advise a non-prescription way to deal with it. Try different foods, drinks the next day. Change the alcohol you drink, stick to one drink and don't mix spirits.

But the only way to truly avoid a hangover is as Daffy says, don't drink in the first place. :-)

So maybe not so good as orally i'm guessing daffy though if the students aren't using them for hangovers then you know it doesn't work as surely they would've tried it at some point.

2sp i'd probably forget the painkillers and a litre of water? Just how big a girl do you think i am! Lol. Oh well was a nice idea for a few seconds.

Oops just seen you said pint and not litre.
My son tried Modafinil for a while to combat chronic fatigue. He gave them up because he couldn't sleep at night while on them. They are also quite expensive. You have to pay a lot more than the standard prescription charge.
Jings Henrietta, only a pint!! I couldn't fit in a litre of water either!

I'll just leave it then cloverjo. I'd rather deal with the side effect of a hangover then whatever side effects that goes with a powerful prescription chemical.

2sp i thought that sounded a bit excessive and dangerous for the bladder and your bedsheets if you know what i mean.
Serious hangover skive off for the day and stay in bed.
