Ryanair Cabin Baggage Allowance

Their new cabin baggage allowance came into force this week and I am mightly confused.

All the blurb and people moaning say that it now costs £5 as a priority passenger to have the 10kg hand luggage. But I was charged £7.50

Also I am still not sure if the others (not priority passengers) can still take the 10kg hand luggage without the fee but it might have to go in the hold. ?? If that is the case are they then charged extra at check in or is it still free?

The way I read it it seems to be slightly different depending on where it is.

Basicly I need yes or no answers.

Can we still go to the check in desk with 10kg hand luggage and not get charged even if they put it in the hold?

Or do you have to pay the priority boarding fee for all 10kg hand luggage?

Any help with this is appreciated.

((I bet I have still got it confused with my questions lol)

You've missed the all-important word 'from' in that blurb!

"If you have not purchased Priority & 2 Cabin Bags, you are only permitted to bring 1 small bag on board. Your second 10kg bag will be tagged at the gate and put into the hold free of charge."

Thanks NJ.

So we paid £7.50 each way for two hand luggage passes for nothing then?

Oh well we'll know if there is ever a next time lol

Mind you finding cases that fit exactly to their dimensions is the next hurdle to cross :-)
cassa, if you've bought Priority you should now be able to take your wheelie bags on board with you, whereas without it they'd go into the hold? Or am I not reading this right?
That's correct, jno

Not actually worried about them going in the hold as the main suitcases are in there so have to wait anyway.

We were told we could not have anything other than handbag size hand luggage unless we got the priority passes.
