Do you ever wear a hat?
I wore one for my wedding but only because my sister insisted I should. I've worn a fascinator twice and regretted it both times, both went to the charity shop. I have three fleece hats for dog walking or serious walking, one's lilac with a sort of tied up top, one's rainbow striped, and the other is white with a blue turn up, all three are very warm. I have two hats for wearing in the sun, one has a large floppy brim, the other is a white cotton pull on, makes me look like a geography teacher.
I'm not a hat person.

Here is a picture of me in my Ghillie Itchyhat. (I was feeling a little off colour that day....)

When I was a kid in the 1950s, all women wore hats almost every time they went out. My mum had fancy hats for going somewhere posh but wore a hat just to go shopping, looking at old photos all the ladies have hats on. Imagine that now, what a pillock I would look going round Aldi.
The only hat that suits me is a balaclava, and that's only if worn backwards.
Hopkirk! Surely not.
Hoppy, that impedes the eating of cauli cheese.

Have a couple of woolly bunnets - needed at this time of year :-D
Love hats
Is a love hat the same as a dutch cap?
Oh lord, shoota, I hope not :)
you have five? I have none. I think I bought a woolly one in New York once when the temperature hit about minus 15, but I never had cause to wear it again.
Do you not have a thinking cap?
Hate hats, though I have owned a few. Back in the late 60s I had a yellow fur cloche hat...rather like these...

Good for a NY winter. A few years later I had a big floppy brimmed brown felt hat. I wore it with a few Victorian stick pins in it.
No hats since then. I have a heavy Canadian parka with a separate liner for the hood. It's made of wool and fur trimmed. Very warm, but a bit voluminous. A hood is as far as I'll go in the winter.
I have a mixture. Two wide brimmed sun (or rain) hats, a couple of baseball caps, some thinsulate winter "woolen" things, there's a balaclava around somewhere and I also have an old trilby which needs replacing and only fit for the dump.
Have a knitted hat with a pom pom for cold days and an Aussie hat for the sun
