i hate cats no chance!
I had a dog once but he was reared by my OH from being a pup and came with him as part of the deal in moving in together.
I don't particularly like dogs, but a dog from a rescue centre would worry me....what happened to him before he landed up in centre? I would worry it could "turn" out of the blue and hurt someone.

When you go to the doggy orphanage try and use your brain and not your heart when choosing your new buddy. Someone that I may know got a five-year-old un-castrated male Lab/GSD that had been handed in by his owners. He was a total psycho who must have had a rough life, he hated the world but loved his family. This person and her dog lived together happily for nine years.

Any decent rescue place will have assessed the personality of the dogs and will help you find one that suits your family. There is no such thing as a 'bad' breed of dog.

***** I hate cats no chance! (this I understand)

Cats are more 'challenging' and totally different from dogs.

Can't read about dogs and deer without thinking of Fenton ;)

Well done for wanting to take in a rescue dog, I promise you, you won't regret it x
