He’s dropping off my two granddaughters off at my house tomorrow on his way to work. The time will be 07.30 and the girls aged 9 & 4 will wake me up, gently!!

He admitted to me tonight that he checks that I haven’t died in the night before locking us all in!!!!! :0 :0

He said he didn’t want to lock his girls in the house with a corpse!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol Lol Lol

My parents are 76 and 81 and we joke all the time about finding them dead.

We have even decided what coloured sticker we are each going to have so we can decide what we want lol

It's sort of gallows humour, we all know we are going to die at some point and as one gets to a curtain age it becomes more likely. But humour keeps pessimism at bay.

If I were you cHrissa I would turn the joke around and, if appropriate of course, give the older one at least a bullet point of what to do if Nan doesn't wake up.

This could become an all round joke the children share but you never know.....
