i am going to see family week after next and have booked a taxi, not cheap, they say they only take the money out of your account when the journey has ended, but they have taken the money already, which they did before,
should i phone and complain. I can't find a cheaper taxi company, black cabs are out as they charge much more than this one.
its 150 quid one way, so as i said its a lot of money, i am not going until the 3rd Feb, so they shouldn't take it out till i have got to my destination, their policy or so i was told.
i rang them and they said that the amount is held in a holding account and that it hasn't come out until the journey is done, in case there is any increase in waiting time.. hope that makes sense.

can't walk far so trains/bus out of the question.
yes its a lot of money, and yes i have used them before, same price by the way to the same destination.
black cab was 200 quid, which i said no to.
i will go with the flow, after all i am going to see family, so that's no bad thing.. i wish i could use the train, whole lot cheaper but can't manage it these days.
Emmie are you aware that you can get assistance at railway stations? Someone will take your bags and help you to the train and see you safely on board and there will be someone at the other end of your journey to help again.
My parents in law found this to be an invaluable service.
