By 1.20pm, Mrs Sam and I had become a married couple. For better or for worse and there's been a lot of both, we have stood the test of time. The sun was shining, it was a warm day and I can remember that day as if it was yesterday. Here's to the next 41 years,LOL.

Happy Anniversary Sam.
I am so envious. That has brought back so many memories. We had a 24 foot cruiser. We sailed everywhere we could in U.K. Then OH decided we were going to France with it. He did his skippers course. And off we went. Over the channel on a ferry, he wanted to sail but as he is deaf he couldn't do the ship to shore coastguard telephone and I refused!
We had a wonderful few years sailing in France. We left it a Toulouse and went back a few times. We couldn't bring her home as the current was too strong to sail against. Eventually we sold her there. Happy times.

Hi Caran, you'll be familiar with the days of pleasure and hours of terror. Mrs Sam was never comfortable on a monohull, I've probably got a year to convince her that a catamaran is more comfortable and being out of sight of land is no biggy. I've promised her that if she's not keen on The Atlantic after training, we'll stick to Europe/The Med. Thanks for the kind words.
